With the big festival for this year's Youth Theatre Project fast approaching on July 31, we have still only reached about 50% of our fund raising goals. We DESPERATELY need your support in order to realize the dreams of the 80+ children who have written and produced powerful dramatic works that comment on social and environmental issues in their communities. With amazing creativity and dedication, these incredible adolescents have explored topics as diverse as domestic abuse, teen pregnancy, chauvinism/sexism, educational rights, agricultural chemical use, and the protection of watersheds.
Just to give you some idea of what your money can do:
-$40 pays for one group's mentor for one month
-$60 pays for lunch for the 80+ participants during a monthly group workshop
-$200 pays for the costumes and props for one of the eight groups
With your support the youth involved will not only be able to showcase their work at this year's festival, but take their plays on the road to communities near and far! Contributions can be made by Credit Card/PayPal using this link:
Thanks kindly on behalf of Project PDTC's young participants,
Marc Serpa Francoeur
Director, CANANICA
